An experimental training I did on rented GPU, ~10k labelled images, 1280x1280 resolution, 8 epochs. (Took about 2 days)
Difficult to get good results, but I found it helpful in merging. It can help increase your models native hi-res compatibility, by merging at ~30/40%.
Gives terrible results at 512x512 on its own.
The training data included some age comparison photos of different celebs, so should have a better understanding of aging. Xyo, X years old, name
768px training of the same dataset
I ran the same dataset at a 768x768 training through 14 epochs. Much more usable, gives pretty good results at 512x512 as well as 960x960 resolutions.
